History has been made at the February 23, 2012 Indian River Shores Town Council meeting when long-time municipally active & JI resident was honored with a beautifully mounted Proclamation, as well as having 'Colonel Jack Mitchell Way' named after him. The newly named "Way" is that portion of Fred R. Tuerk Drive which turns North and leads to the John's Island (South) Gate.
